Tuition Info

Overview

Agile Learning Center is primarily supported through the tuition paid by its families. In determining our tuition process, we’ve focused on a few important ideas — trust, access, and responsibility

The culture of an ALC is rooted in trust. We are committed to developing relationships of trust with students, among the facilitators, and certainly with our families.

Our Agile Learning Center wants as much as possible to base a enrollment decisions on a family’s fit, not income level. To this end, we offer tuition assistance in the form of a sliding scale. By trusting families to be generous and reasonable, we increase our accessibility.

As we grow, we try to balance accessibility with sustainability. We are always looking at our tuition process to make sure we’re being responsible to our current families and to the future health of the school.

Our flexible approach is also made possible by generous donations from various individuals and organizations. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to Agile Learning Center, you can use PayPal or send us a check.

Determining Tuition

Here’s how we determine the tuition each family pays:

  1. At the end of the admissions application, you’ll have the option to mark that you’re paying the full tuition rate, or that you want access the sliding scale rates. For the current school year, annual tuition per student is $25,000. If you cannot afford full tuition, fill out the tuition assistance worksheet (here) to see what our recommended tuition is for various income levels. *Please note that in the worksheet “total family income” includes all gross income sources, such as salary, child support, support from family members, trusts, etc.
  2. Consider the recommendation you get from the tuition tool, and assess if that can work for your family. If you can give more to support our maintaining a space that’s both accessible and sustainable, consider offering more than the recommendation or making a tax deductible donation.
  3. Propose a tuition amount, share any context that you think would be helpful for us to consider, and submit the completed tuition assistance worksheet alongside your application. For the current school year, only tuition proposals equal to or greater than $4800 annually per student will be considered.
  4. Once your form has been submitted, our Finance Working Group will review the tuition offer. We’ll either accept it, or propose a counter offer. Either way, you’ll hear from us shortly.
