Some questions before we start:
- If you were to draw or act out a school scene, what would its features be?
- How does the prompt to think about school make you feel? What sensations do you notice in your body?
- What, in your understanding, is the purpose of school? How do you feel schools serve that purpose (or not)? Thinking about someone’s development through many decades of life, what would you say is the purpose of education?
Each section of the course will start and end with reflection questions. You’ll get more out of the course, in the short and long term, if you take a few moments to record your responses to these questions as they come up.
