Reflection
Some reflection prompts:
For marine creatures, a shoal is a group that loosely is swimming together, often including different species and individuals doing their own things. A school is a group that shares some identity — they’re the same species — and moves collectively in the same direction.
- When have you felt like part of a shoal? What is most possible in that formation? What makes it work? What are its limits?
- When have you felt like part of a school? What is most possible in that formation? What makes it work? What are its limits?
- When have you been part of a group or relationship that alternated between schooling and shoaling? How were decisions made? How did you work through disagreements?
